Daniel J. Regan

Daniel James Regan passed away at his home on the morning of Thursday, October 29th at the age of 87. His passing was unexpected but without suffering.

Dan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Ellen and Edward Regan. After school he served 3 years in the Marine Corps and at 19 became the youngest Staff Sergeant in the Corps. He then went to college at University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where he met Rosemary. They married and raised four children as Dan spent his career in the early computing industry.

A dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church, Dan was recognized for his service with a Marian Medal and a St. Vincent De Paul Top Hat Award. At the time of his passing he was an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, serving as a Eucharistic minister and a daily mass server.

In his 21 years living on Cape Cod in his retirement, Dan enjoyed clamming, watching Red Sox baseball, hosting family visits and taking long walks outside. He still loved the Green Bay Packers even in Patriots country. He also enjoyed his many years with the TAPC (Thursday Afternoon Poker Club).

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Rosemary Regan; His four children Kevin, Kerin, Tim and Matt; his grandchildren, Katie, Colleen, Connor, Alexis, Kirsten, and Christian. He loved his family beyond words, including his seven siblings and many nieces and nephews. He was always grateful for his blessings and his time spent with everyone.  He will be deeply missed but the memories of our time together will bring a smile to our faces for years to come.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, Nov. 2nd at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, North Falmouth. Burial will be private. There will be no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, Dan wishes donations be made to The Society of St. Vincent De Paul, 481 Quaker Rd, PO Box 861, No. Falmouth, MA 02536 or The St. Lawrence Seminary High School, 301 Church Street, Mt. Calvary, WI 53057.
