David A. Tyler

David A. Tyler of East Bridgewater died July 15, 2018 in Seasons Hospice in Milton. David was 58, born in Brockton and raised and educated in East Bridgewater graduating in 1978, he attended UMass Amherst and later graduated, with honors, from Massasoit Community College.

Beloved son of Marilyn (Ekholm) Tyler of East Bridgewater and the late Herbert “Bud” Tyler. David was the brother of the late Richard S. Tyler. Uncle of Kelsey Tyler of  Westboro and Ryan Tyler of New Hampshire. His sister in-law Judy Tyler.  He was cousin of  Dr Stephen Smith and his wife Dianne of Holden, Thomas Smith and his wife Elizabeth of Amesbury, and Sarah Ekholm-Jacobson and her husband Christian of Roslindale.  

David  was a member of the IBEW 223 Electrical Union and worked with his father at Southgate Electric, after the death of his father he became the President of Southgate Electric.  His final working years were spent at the CN Smith Farm in East Bridgewater pursuing his passion. 

Calling hours will be on Friday July 20th at 4:00pm in the East Bridgewater Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 35 Spring Street East Bridgewater and conclude with a Service in the funeral home at 6:00pm.;

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of David may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church  900 Main Street Brockton MA 02301or the American Lung Association.
