It is with great sadness that the family of Deborah Demakis Jacobs, 65, of Centerville, announces her unexpected passing after a short battle with cancer, on February 25, 2018. She was born in New Bedford, Mass. to her late parents Peter and Marion (Tripp) Demakis and the loving wife of Daniel W. Jacobs. She was a lifelong resident of Barnstable and graduated from Barnstable High School in 1970.
Deborah married her husband Daniel on April 14, 1984 at the Federated Church of Hyannis, where she was a member for 50 years. Debbie and Dan were active in the American Legion. She was also a proud member of the Mayflower Society, and a talented crafter and cake decorator.
Deborah will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne (Laura) of Mashpee, Kelvin of Hawaii, Daniel (Deborah) of Laconia, N.H., Adam of Palm City, Fla., Tina of Barnstable, Adele of Boston and a large extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband on January 10 of this year.
A calling hour will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m on Thursday, March 1st at John Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Rte. 28), Marstons Mills, MA. A funeral home service will commence at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery in Centerville.
