Deborah L. Combra

Deborah L. Combra, 58, of Bridgewater died tragically on Tues. Oct. 3rd from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident that occurred in Brockton.

Debbie was the loving daughter of the late Edmund S. Sullivan and Edith Rose Pike and her husband Albert of East Bridgewater, she grew up in Bridgewater, and was a proud graduate of BR Class of 1977. She married her high school sweetheart, Manny ("Mac"), on Sept. 2, 1977 and the two settled in Bridgewater where they raised their boys. Debbie started her career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the age of 15 when she worked at the Bridgewater State College library. She was currently looking forward to retiring in 2020 after 39 ½ years from her current position as Procurement Manager for the Department of Public Health.

Debbie loved spending time with her family. Day trips with her husband were her favorite and watching the Patriots with her boys was something she always loved. She was an avid reader, loved country music, and was always bubbly and funny. Debbie was a devoted dog lover and a friend to many.

Devoted best friend and wife of Manuel Combra of Bridgewater and loving mother of Matthew A. Combra and his wife Jessi of Bridgewater and Michael R. Combra and his fiancé Brittany Devine both of Bridgewater. Sister of Laura A. Melville of East Bridgewater and her late husband Richard and Pamela J. Fruzzetti of East Bridgewater. Sister in law of Mary Krebs and her husband Ronald of Wareham and Jessie Quinn and her husband Thomas of Middleboro as well as her grand-pups Callie, Huckleberry and Sadie. Loving godmother and aunt of many and friend to all who knew her.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation period at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Mon. Oct. 9th from 1:00 to 5:00pm.

A Funeral Service in her honor will begin at 5pm and burial will be private.
