Diane M. Carreiro

Diane Marie Carreiro, 59, of Falmouth, passed away on June 9, 2017. She was born in Wareham to the late Richard and Isabel (Teixeira) Carreiro.

She was the longtime companion of Wayne Sylvia for 25 years. She also leaves behind her children:  Jason Carreiro and his wife Mia of Mashpee, and Douglas Wright and his wife Alyssa of New Bedford; grandchildren:  Leila and Jami Carreiro, Brandon, Zachary, Devlin, and Noel Wright; her siblings: Richard Carreiro of Falmouth, Donna Carreiro of Vermont, Joanne Carreiro of Buzzards Bay, Linda Fish of E. Falmouth, and Paul Carreiro of Buzzards Bay; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Turner and Daniel Carreiro.

Diane was fun, and wild and crazy. She was the kindest, loving and caring person who lived life to the fullest. Since childhood, her passion was farming at her grandparent’s farm on Fresh Pond Road. She was an avid reader, loved to draw, crochet, read her magazines, and Motown music.  Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.  She leaves a great legacy of many wonderful fun memories. She will be truly missed.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, June 19, at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home located at 475 Main St., Falmouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 20, at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be greatly appreciated at www.gofundme.com.

Thank you to the staff at the JML in Falmouth and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, for their professional and caring service.
