Donald E. Cohen

1935 ∼ 2019

Donald E. Cohen, 83, of Mashpee, formerly of Brockton passed away at South Shore Hospital with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer on January 30, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Cohen and son of the late Harold and Rebecca Cohen.

Donald worked as a gemologist for 42 years at Homers Jewelers, and Long’s Jewelers for the past 28 years. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and most of all family beach days. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Donald is survived by his sons David Cohen and wife Darlene, Marc Cohen and wife Heidi, Barry Cohen and wife Colleen, his sister Arlene Miller, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee on Monday February 4, 2019 from 11am to 1PM. A funeral service will follow in the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Dana Farber Cancer Institute - Memorial Contributions, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
