Dorothy A. Brann

CARVER – Dorothy A. (Miner) Brann, 96, of Carver, died peacefully at home on August 28, 2019. She was the widow of the late Charles O. Brann and the daughter of the late Arthur Horace and Mary Gertrude (Osgood) Miner.

She was born in Dedham and lived in Westwood, Vermont, Florida and Hyannis before moving to Carver 2 years ago.  She graduated from Dedham High School.

Mrs. Brann worked as a secretary for Grainger Electric Supply Company in Canton for several years.

She enjoyed knitting, kayaking and playing scrabble.

Survivors include 3 sons, David R. Savage and his wife, Jane of Carver, Richard P. Savage of Clearwater, FL and John A. Savage of Hyannis; her stepchildren, Jane Barberi of FL, Bill Brann of NH, Carolyn Nye of VT and Charles Brann of CA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews from Utah, Arizona and Nevada. She was predeceased by a stepson, Richard Brann.

Visiting hours are from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte.28), Wareham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Services of Massachusetts, 10 Riverside Dr., Lakeville, MA 02347.
