Dorothy Herbert

Dorothy Herbert, 82, of East Falmouth and formerly of Everett, MA, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Peter W. Herbert for 54 years.

Dorothy was employed at Polaroid for many years and moved to Falmouth after retirement. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, crocheting, and playing poker. She also loved her yardwork and flowers, cooking for family gatherings and holiday feasts. She especially loved her animals, family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Peter, she is survived by her children, Jerry Dalessio and his wife Cheryl of Dracut, Deborah Herbert-Szpond of Falmouth, and David Herbert of Georgia; her granddaughters:  Melissa Bonin, Jennifer Waters, Mandy Ladner, Richelle Tiberi, and Logan Szpond; and her great grandchildren: Lillian and Mathew Ladner, and Madeline and Michael Tiberi.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, July 27 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 28 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
