Edith enlisted in the Naval Reserves in July of 1950 and proudly served as an Ensign NC in Newport, Rhode Island and Memphis, TN until she was honorably discharged in 1952. In 1973 she married Daniel Deitrick and they moved to Cape Cod in 1982 upon Dan’s retirement. They spent many happy years on the Cape where Edith continued working in real estate.
Edith loved hosting friends and family to the Cape and never tired of its beaches and beauty. She was involved with her local church, senior center and loved to play bridge and was an avid reader!
