Elaine M. Twomey

1937 ∼ 2018

Elaine M. Twomey, 80, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2018 at the Falmouth Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cambridge, MA she was a daughter of the late Elmo and Mary Malfa English. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for General Motors. She was an active member of the Falmouth and Boca Raton Elks and Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing in card tournaments. She and her late husband George hosted many family events at their home in Falmouth over the years. She had a love and affinity for little children and would donate generously to many children’s charities, especially during the Christmas season.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Twomey; brother-in-law, Jack Twomey; and nephew, Jack Twomey.

Survivors include her brother, Elmo English; sisters-in-law, Connie Antonellis and Marjorie Twomey; many nieces, nephews and their families, Kathy McNeil, Patricia Johnson, Colleen Crowley, Charles Antonellis, Laurie Antonellis, Marney Heeley-Ray and Peter Antonellis; and special friends, Camille Gallo and Arthur Weeks.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Elaine’s family on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, from 11 until 12:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, East Falmouth, at 1 PM.
