Elaine P.  Reid

1944 ∼ 2017

Elaine P. (Costa) Reid of Bridgewater born  September 26, 1944,  passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2017, in the presence of family at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA.  Elaine is predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Reid, who died in 2004.  She is survived by her older sister, Jeanette Dudley and partner, Ray Pelletier; and younger brother, Richard J. Costa and his wife, Connie.  Brothers who are deceased are Michael Costa, Joseph Costa, and an adoptive brother, Richard L. Costa.Beloved Mother to four daughters:  Linda Jones; Debora Arns and husband, Jeffrey; Lisa Cecelya and husband, Steven; and Cheryl Deming and husband, Steven.   Elaine’s only son, deceased in infancy, was Joseph M. Reid, Jr. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Elaine resided at the Bridgewater Nursing Home in Bridgewater, MA; were she had lived with friends and had staff who cared for her, for the past five years.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours  will be held in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, at 98 Bedford St, Bridgewater, on Friday, May 12, 2017 beginning at  2:00 pm and concluding with a brief service at 3:30pm.
