Elizabeth C. Resteghini

Elizabeth C. (Cattani) Resteghini, 97, of Harwich and formerly of Framingham, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Liberty Commons in N. Chatham. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Resteghini for 56 years. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Louisa Cattani.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Framingham High School and Framingham Union School of Nursing. During WWII she served as 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Nurses Corp, from 1943-45 in London. She worked for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain and was a well known and loved Framingham school nurse for 10 years.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Edward R. Resteghini and his wife Nancy of Harwich; 2 grandchildren, Michael Resteghini of Hopkinton and Kristin (Resteghini) Allen of Los Angeles CA, and 3 great grandchildren: Isabella, Teagan, and Ireland Resteghini. She also leaves 2 sisters, Doris Foster and Amedia St. Andre of Framingham; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 8:30-9:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St., Falmouth, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
