F. Beverly Karn

F. Beverly Broughton Karn passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ August 30,2019 after a short illness.

Born on September 11,1928 to Esther Cahoon Broughton Beverly graduated Harwich High School and left the Cape to attend Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing graduating with an LPN degree. Returning to Harwich she married Manton Eldredge Jr in February 1950. Together they raised their family of four sons and one daughter. In June of 1973 Beverly married the love of her life Richard S. Karn . They owned and operated Harwich Realty for many years.

Mom was always happiest being with her family. She was an avid sports fan who loved sailing with Dick learning from him how to navigate Wychmere Harbor. Mom also loved going to the herring run in spring, clamming the flats, bird watching with Joanne, knitting with the ladies of Bible Alliance, maintaining a garden plot at the community garden with her daughter Kathy and her family. Mom was truly a multi -faceted woman.

She is survived by her children Craig ( Sue) Eldredge of Harwich, David ( Lynda) Eldredge of Harwich Kathy Eldredge of Harwich Peter ( Cindy) Eldredge of Westfield ,Maine ,Kevin Eldredge of Orleans. Mom and also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nephews and a niece and many dear friends.

Mom greatest joy came when she gave her life to Jesus Christ and became a Born Again child of God.

Visiting hours will be Friday September 6 from 4-7 pm at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home Harwich. Memorial service to be held at the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church Brewster Saturday September 7 at 11 am.
