Frances Gaston

Frances Gaston, “Fran”, 89, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2017 in Corona, NY where she spent her final year and a half of life.

Fran was formerly of New Bedford, Falmouth and Sandwich, MA. Fran spent most of her life as a licensed practical nurse, taking care of patients at Falmouth Nursing Home and then later in their homes as a private duty nurse. Fran liked nothing better than to help those in need, not only patients, but also most of her family member and friends. That was what she did best. She also spent a number of years working for Auget Electronics in Mashpee and forged some lasting life friendships there as well.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 47 years, Donald Gaston, Sr.; children, Sandra Velez of Corona, NY, Donald Gaston, Jr. of Cleveland, OH; granddaughter, Janelle James of Las Vegas, NV; great-granddaughter, Jenna James of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Bertha Brennan of Albuquerque, NM; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who all love and will miss her greatly.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth from 11 AM until 12 PM. A memorial service will begin at 12 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Jones Rd., Falmouth.
