Gib and Jane loved Pleasant Bay. They had their own favorite spot on the beach where they could be found having a cup of coffee or lunch, watching the bird life and sail boats from their sand chairs. Gib loved to calculate the tides on Pleasant Bay and there wasn't a day throughout the summer that he didn't know what they were. The beach on Pleasant Bay was fondly referred to as "Geiger's Beach" by their friends. Gib was the President & Trustee of Pleasant Bay Heights in 1998. Gib was a friend of Bill W. since 1975, and had served as secretary for the state of CT AA and Chairman of their State Convention.
