Gloria R. Haskell

1933 ∼ 2020

Gloria R. Haskell, age 86, of Falmouth died May 11, 2020 after a sudden illness. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother.

Gloria was born June 27, 1933 to the late Edward and Jessie Cash, of Waquoit, MA. She was married to the late Hiram Haskell.

Gloria had a successful career at the Falmouth Hospital for over 40 years as a Phlebotomist and was loved by her fellow colleagues and community. Gloria was also an active member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.

Gloria enjoyed her family gathering, especially through the holidays. Mom loved the water, and remembered her childhood being at the Waquoit Bay with her family members and children. She also enjoyed gardening during the warm weather and being outside with Mother Earth. Horseback riding was another passion of Gloria’s. She enjoyed riding in the Waquoit woods, enjoying the trails that went to South Cape Beach, always bringing her back to the ocean.

Gloria leaves behind two sons, Raymond Peters, of Boston, MA, and Donald Peters, of Waquoit, MA; surviving siblings Francis Hendricks, of Falmouth, MA, and Beverly Cash, of Waquoit, MA; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by Stacey Peters, Jr., Charles Peters, Albert Peters, Norma Peters, James Peters, Darlene Peters, and Hiram Haskell, Jr.

There will be a celebration of Gloria’s life at a later date.
