Gregory S. Aldrich

Gregory Shea Aldrich, 50, of Falmouth & Provincetown, MA, and Montreal, QC, lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on September 18th.

Born in Lansing, MI and raised in Falmouth, MA, he was the son of Deborah (Shea) Aldrich and the (late) Arthur Aldrich. He graduated from Falmouth High School in 1988 and from Bentley University in1994. He furthered his education at Harvard University with a Graduate Certificate in Business (1998). 

It was during the Bentley University study abroad program that Greg developed a true wanderlust and interest in foreign countries, cultures and languages. He worked for Volkswagen in Puebla, Mexico, Ford Motor Co. in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and i-Technique in Montreal, Quebec. In All, Greg visited 31 countries, lived in 6, and spoke 4 languages. He loved animals and was a life-long vegetarian. Greg was an active member of the “Couch surfing” social network for travelers, and hosted over 100 global travelers. He enjoyed riding his vintage Honda scooter, growing his independent Apple computer-repair business, “The Mac Whisperer”, Star Trek & science-fiction, attending concerts and Comic Cons, and making friends around the world.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Shea Aldrich, his aunt, Ann Aldrich of Gloucester, his brother, Arthur G. Aldrich III (Maura) of Falmouth, his sister, Leora Ulrich (Josh) of Gloucester, and his niece & nephew Corryn & Quinten Ulrich of Gloucester.

Greg’s wake will be from 4-7PM on Thursday September 24th at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (at Route 151) Mashpee, MA 02649.
