BREWSTER- Harold E. “Harry” Vient, III, 63, of Brewster, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the dedicated husband to the love of his life, Jamie M. Vient, of Brewster.
Born on October 24, 1955, in Saugus, MA, Harry was one of four sons born to the late Harold E. Vient Jr. and Ellen C. (Mullarken) Vient.
Harry was raised and grew up in Lynn. He was a member of the Class of 1974 from Lynn English High School. While he was in his sophomore year of high school, Harry, with much effort and diligence, obtained the highest rank within the Boy Scouts of America, becoming an Eagle Scout; he was very proud of that accomplishment which few earn.
Following high school, he attended and graduated from North Shore Community College with his A.S. and then furthered his credentials by completing the necessary coursework to achieve his B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State College.
In 1984, Harry made the move to Cape Cod, where he enjoyed living and raising his family. He spent much of his career working in retail for Stop & Shop Supermarket Companies. He gained the reputation for being a wonderful employee and co-worker and he was also a proud member of the UFLCO. In February of 2018, Harry decided to retire after 45 dedicated years of working for Stop & Shop.
In his spare time, Harry enjoyed cooking and eating food. He was also an avid traveler, taking trips to many countries and different states. Above all, Harry was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his treasured family.
In addition to his wife, Jamie, Harry is survived by his cherished daughters: Aimee E. and Theresa E. Vient, both of Brewster; his three brothers: Wayne, Robert, and Richard; and also several nieces, nephews, friends, and former co-workers.
In accordance with Harry’s wishes, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service, which will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Nauset Beach, 250 Beach Rd, Orleans, MA 02653.
