Harold “Harry” Travaglione

Harold (Harry) Travaglione of Raynham passed away on July 29, 2017 at Morton Hospital, Taunton, MA. He was 85 years of age.
Born in Boston, Harry was the beloved son of the late Vincenzo Travaglione and Anna (Mucci) Travaglione Anastasi. Harry was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Harry was a resident of Raynham for over fifty years and resided at Life Care Center of Raynham for the past three years. Harry was the dedicated owner of Harry’s La Casa Mia Restaurant of Raynham, formerly of Taunton. He learned the traditions of Italian cuisine from his mother at Mother Anna’s Restaurant in Boston, MA. As a chef, he spent more than 40 years preparing Italian foods for all to enjoy and passed those traditions on to his children and grandchildren. His greatest joys were spending time with family, completing building and construction projects, and following the Red Sox and Bruins.
Harry was the beloved husband of Dolores (Mongiovi) Travaglione. Devoted father of Ronald Travaglione of Bridgewater, Richard Travaglione and his wife Sarah of Nantucket, Cheryl Coppage and her husband Robert of Plymouth, Anna Sousa and her husband Steven of Howell, New Jersey, and John Travaglione and his wife Wendy of Raynham. Cherished grandfather of Howard Mallowes IV, Angela Costa, Christoper Sousa, Alicia Travaglione, Jessica Gowing, Adam Travaglione, Allan Travaglione, Alayna Travaglione, Michael Travaglione, and Vincenzo Travaglione. Dearest great-grandfather of his many great-grandchildren. Also, survived by his brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents and brothers, John, Ralph, Mario, Armando, Luigi, Ronald Travaglione and sisters, Felicia Solimine, Edith Caparella, Mary Fantasia and Rose Bowe.
Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, 660 N. Main St., Raynham at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
