Helen N. Kossifos

Early Wednesday morning, beloved sister Helen N. Kossifos passed into the arms of our Lord. She was born on March 24th 1936, in Yonkers, N.Y. She graduated Gorton High School in 1954 and matriculated at New York and Fairleigh Dickinson universities. She worked as on Office Manager and Real Estate Agent until the early 1970‘s. She then became manager, and later, with the passing of her mother, owner and partner of By The Sea Guests B & B, 57 Chase Ave., Dennisport, MA.

Helen was passionate about her friendships and touched many people’s lives.  She loved music, the arts, and her dogs. She belonged to many civic groups including the Dennis Lyons Club and the Southside Civic Association.

She is survived by her Life Partner of 30 years Ms. Marie Gelsomino, her brother and business partner, Constantine N. Kossifos, many Cousins and a large family of close and dear friends. She was the daughter of the late Efthalia and Nicholas Kossifos and sister of the late Anastasios Kossifos.

A viewing will be held on Saturday June 29th at St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church, 1130 Falmouth Rd., Centerville starting 10:30 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY where a graveside service will be performed on Monday July 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of Flowers donations may be sent to St George’s Greek Orthodox, 1130 Falmouth Rd. (Rt. 28), Centerville, MA 02632 or to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105. Special thanks to the staff at Liberty Commons for their loving care of Helen.
