Henry J. McClean Jr., Loving Husband and Father

Henry J. McClean Jr., 76, of Centerville, MA died on November 4 at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Lowell, MA in 1941 to Henry J. McClean Sr. and Dorothy (McGrade) McClean, he graduated from Northeastern University in 1975 and worked as a financial controller and consultant for many companies in the Greater Boston Area. He was a volunteer for youth soccer programs in Concord and Westford, for the Consumer Assistance Council of Cape Cod, and for the Barnstable Police Department, and for decades contributed as an active member the Knights of Columbus. He was deeply proud of his Scottish heritage and had a lifelong appreciation of cars, most recently his 1974 BMW.

He was the loving husband of K. Gayle (Griffin) McClean for 51 years. He also leaves behind a son, Michael D. McClean and his wife Julie E. Savage of Mansfield, a daughter, Caroline A. McClean of Roslindale, and two grandchildren, Anna and Nathan McClean of Mansfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday November 7, 2017 from 4PM to 7PM at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd in Marston Mills, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 8, at 10AM at Our Lady of Victory, 230 South Main St., Centerville, MA. Burial will follow in St Francis Xavier Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
