Imelda Morin

Imelda (LaForge) Tocci Morin, 98, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at her home on August 30, 2018. She was a devoted wife to her first husband, the late Joseph Tocci, as well as her second husband, the late Carmel Morin.

Born and raised in Saint André, New Brunswick, Canada, Imelda enjoyed gardening, making braided rugs, picking blueberries, and cooking for her family gatherings. She was also an avid reader and card player, as well as Johnny Cash’s biggest fan. Spending time with her family was what made Imelda happiest.

Imelda was a beloved mother to her five children, Joseph Tocci of Toms River, NJ and his late first wife Carol, and his late second wife Carolee, Gretchen Gradzewicz and her husband Anthony of Naples, FL, Peter Tocci and his life partner Ricky Dixon of Durham, NC, the late Paul Tocci of Framingham, MA and his wife Patti, and James Tocci and his wife Cindy of Sandwich, MA. Imelda is also survived by three of her sisters, Edna Zsipsak of Canada, Lucia Cartier of Framingham, MA and Janet Therrien of Canada. She was a cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Imelda will be dearly missed by her entire family.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 3 Job’s Fishing Rd., Mashpee on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:30am. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
