Irma E. Isaacson

Irma E. (Kaplan) Isaacson, 87, formerly of Falmouth Heights and Framingham, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, September 28th at Newbridge on the Charles in Dedham, MA, where she received wonderful care from the kind, competent and compassionate staff over the last six years.  She was the devoted wife of the late George Howard Isaacson, and the daughter of the late Samuel M. Kaplan and the late Frances Seder Kahn, both of Worcester.

Born in Worcester, Irma settled in Framingham with George to raise their family.  Irma worked for many years at Shawmut Community Bank before retiring with George to Falmouth, where she was a devoted employee of C.M. Murray Insurance Company.  Family was the center of Irma’s life; she found tremendous joy in time spent with her sisters, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved the beach, had impeccable style, and will be remembered by many for her spunk.

Irma is the sister of the late Elaine Strogoff, formerly of Newport Beach, California.  She is survived by her sister Beverly Lan of Longmeadow, daughters Shelley Isaacson Ferullo (Michael) of Brookline, Susan G. Turner of Ashland, Jane Davis (Stephen) of Southborough, Jill Perez (Joe) of Watertown, grandchildren Max Ferullo, Lindsey (Turner) Lukis, Jon Turner, Kayte (Giorgio) Hager, Nick Giorgio, Brian Perez, and great-grandchildren Grady Lukis, Callen Lukis, and Cecilia Turner. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd at noon, at the Interfaith Chapel, Newbridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham, MA 02026.  A memorial observance will follow from 2pm-7pm at the home of Jane and Stephen Davis, 153 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irma’s memory may be made to: Hebrew Senior Life, Development Department, Attention: Memory Support Unit 1 SE HH, 1200 Centre Street, Boston, MA 02131 or via give.hebrewseniorlife.org/tribute.  Burial will be private.
