James J. Vano

1957 ∼ 2018

James J. Vano, 60, of Bridgewater passed away Monday, Feb. 26th, 2018, at the Life Care Center of Raynham after a period of failing health. James was the loving son of Gerald and Lorraine (Silva) Vano.

He grew up in Brockton, attended Southeastern Regional High School and moved to Bridgewater in 1989. James loved working on electronics and was an avid 70’s rock buff. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the guitar, going to the race track or watching a great Red Sox game.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his three siblings. Linda M. Vano of Bridgewater, Lorna J. Brasill and her husband Arthur Jr. of Bridgewater, and John L. Vano of Bridgewater. He was the loving nephew of Jeanette Peterson of Easton, Rev. Antoinette Vano of Brockton, and Margaret Silva of Bridgewater and loving uncle of Michael, Adam, and Amanda. James is also survived by many cousins.

Family and friends are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Sat. March 10th for a visitation period from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 2:30pm followed by a burial and commemorative balloon release at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
