James N. Pentikis

James N. Pentikis, “Jim”, 83, of E. Falmouth, formerly of Somerville. Jim passed away on March 1, 2018 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to the late Elizabeth (Lallas) Pentikis. He was the only child  of the late Nickolas and Angela Pentikis.

Jim received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Boston University. He worked as a research chemist for Polaroid Corp, retiring in 1989. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Loving father of Nickolas J. Pentikis of East Falmouth, Anthony P. Pentikis of E. Falmouth and John S. Pentikis and his wife Helen of Timonium, MD. Jim adored his four grandchildren, Elizabeth, James Thomas, Alexandra and James Nickolas.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 4, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapman Cole Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA 02540. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 5, 11:00am at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1130 Falmouth Road, Centerville MA.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Falmouth, MA.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church 1130 Falmouth Rd Centerville, MA 02632 or the Somerville Greek Orthodox Dormition Church, 29 Central Street, Somerville, MA 02143.
