Jane Walsh

Jane F. Walsh (Rand) of Falmouth, formerly of Avon, went to her eternal rest, reunited with her beloved husband of 58 years, Joe.

Born and raised in Boston, Jane graduated from the Chandler School for Women and spent many years as an executive secretary for Look, Inc. She was well known for her amazing office and bookkeeping skills. Jane loved travelling with Joe and their life was filled with adventure. In later years, Jane very much enjoyed regaling friends and family with wonderful stories of all the amazing places they had been. She also loved reading and was an avid “Facebooker” who greatly enjoyed following the goings on of her loved ones. Jane’s sharp wit, feisty spirit and loving heart will be missed by all who loved her.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews including John & Chrissy Shea of LeHigh Acres, FL, Jeanne & Bobby DiBenedetto and their son, Tony of Stoughton, James Shea & Marty Block of Chicago, IL, Michael and Susan Portanova of Scituate and their children Patrick, Jack, Brendan, Mikey and Grace as well as Danny and Anna Shea of Scituate and their children CiCi, Micky, Shirley and Goldie. Jane also leaves a brother, Richard Rand of Stoughton. In addition to her beloved Joe, she was predeceased by her mother, Ethel R. Rand (Weir), her father Charles F. Rand and her loving little sister, Kathleen M. Shea of LeHigh Acres, FL.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4th from 5‐7 at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151 Mashpee, MA. Funeral will be celebrated in St. Anthonys Church in Falmouth on Wednesday Dec. 5, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV or a charity of your choice.
