Janice M. Phillips

1951 ∼ 2018

Janice M. Phillips, 66 died peacefully on April 9, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Janice was the loving daughter of the late William and Gloria (Morris) Murphy and grew up in the Hyde Park section of Boston. She settled in East Bridgewater in the 1980’s and where she raised her children. For over 30 years, Janice owned and operated Foxx Transportation in East Bridgewater, which is a local bus company servicing the transportation needs of handicap and special needs children in the greater Bridgewater and Brockton area. She was a devoted mother who also loved traveling, working, talking on the phone, and being with her grandchildren.

Janice helped many many people and would always be kind and generous to anyone she met.

Janice was the loving mother of Lynn M. Scott and her husband Brian of East Bridgewater, Derek M. Phillips and his wife Kelly of East Bridgewater, Kerri M. Phillips of East Bridgewater, and Kevin M. Phillips of East Bridgewater. Proud “Nana” of Marissa, Cassie, Matthew, Katie, Kaylee, and Sara. Sister of the late Billy Murphy and James Murphy and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St. East Bridgewater on April 14th for a visitation period from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and a short funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.  

In honor of Janice’s wishes, please attend the wake and funeral in casual dress attire.
