Jason W. Mooney

Jason W. Mooney, 51, of Marstons Mills, died at home on Friday, November 10, 2017.  He was the loving husband of 14 years to Kelly (Grosso) Mooney of Marstons Mills and the loving father of his sons, Jake and Derek Mooney both of Marstons Mills.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Carolyn Mooney of Westport, MA.

Jason was a graduate of Bridgewater State University, worked as a Social Worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until the time of his death. For a short period of time he was a reserve Police Officer for the Town of Yarmouth.

He enjoyed fishing but spending time with his sons was most important. 

Jason was a loyal man, passionate and steadfast in his beliefs, advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves.  He was selflessly committed to his wife and children.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, November 16 at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills.  A funeral service will begin at 7 pm in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mooney Children Memorial Fund, Cape Cod 5 Bank, PO Box 10, 19 West Road, Orleans, MA  02653-0010 or can be dropped off at any Cape Cod 5 branch.
