Jeffrey Duane Souza

Jeffrey Duane Souza, also known as J.D. 49, of Mashpee, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 19, 2020. He was the loving partner of Patricia Souza-DeMello and son of the late George and Edith Souza.

Jeff attended Falmouth Public Schools and graduated from Cape Cod Community College. Before he became owner and operator of JD Souza Landscaping, he also worked for the Green Harbor Motel, All Star Music and The Wood Lumber Company. He was also the Co-founder of the Souzapalooza Charity Music Festival. He was a member of Saint Anthony’s Church in East Falmouth, Saint Anthony’s Club, Falmouth Elks Club, and the Fresh Pond Holy Ghost Society.

Jeff loved music and was an On The Rocks guitarist. He also enjoyed gardening, landscaping, Boating, and four wheeling. He was a loving partner and brother and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his partner Patricia, Jeff is survived by 6 brothers and sisters, Lisa Willow Dunne of North Falmouth, Timothy G. Souza of East Falmouth, Christopher J. Souza of Mashpee, Gregory J. Souza of East Falmouth, Patrick H. Souza of Cicero, NY, Holly M. Souza of Saint Paul, MN, his step children Brittney E. Martinsen, Lauren A. Enos, and Chad M. Enos.  Jeff  was uncle to Rachel Benoit of Falmouth, Laura Souza of Falmouth, Cameron Aiken of Falmouth, Nicholas Parece of Natick, Matthew Parece of Spokane, WA and Heather Medeiros of Woods Hole.
