John (Jack) W. McMorrow Jr. , of East Bridgewater died May 9, 2017 at the age of 84, peacefully and comfortably after the onset of Altzheimers and Dementia at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge.  Beloved son of the late Emily (Riley) and  John W. McMorrow Sr.  Jack  was raised and educated in Brockton and was a proud  Navy Veteran of War (Korea),  serving on the USS Shenandoah.  Jack was kind and giving, always ready to lend a hand or a tool or open his home to others, most recently his sister Joyce Thebault who lived with him for many years and provided the sisterly companionship that he welcomed.

He leaves behind his children from his late first wife, Faith A. (Allen) McMorrow, Jacqueline Optiz and her husband Russell, John W. McMorrow III., James McMorrow and his wife Maureen, Kristopher McMorrow and his wife Millicent, and from his 2nd marriage, the late Gladys L. (Chase) (Hamilton) McMorrow, Peter Hamilton, Lynda Hamilton, David Hamilton and his wife Judy, Mary Sweeney and her partner Mike. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Nathan and Andrew Hamilton, Steve Wrona, Will and Mary Hamilton, Jennifer Lynn Ouellette, David, Nick and Katie Sweeney, Jennifer Stevens, Jason Hatch, John W. McMorrow IV and Jennifer McMorrow,  James Jr., Erin and Chase McMorrow, Jarryd  Burke, Cortlandt Burk and Nicole McMorrow, also his niece Kelly Kelly and her husband John and their two children Jimmy and Courtney, and several great-grand children who were a part of his life enjoying outings at the pool or boating or just visiting him and enjoying his stories….., also one of his “partners in crime” Richard Sweeney. Jack is predeceased by his grandson, Richard Blackwell III.

Visiting hours will be held in the East Bridgewater Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 35 Spring Street East Bridgewater Tuesday May 16th at 10:00am and conclude with a Funeral Service at noon.

Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
