John L. Collins, Jr.

John L. Collins Jr., 23, died unexpectedly on December 4 while suffering from an asthma attack.

John was born in Brockton, son of the late John Collins Sr. and Melissa S. “Colby” Pruett and grew up in East Bridgewater. John attended East Bridgewater schools and was a plumber’s assistant and worked for a landscaping company. He was the best father who loved playing video games and being funny. He was a very caring young man who enjoyed time with his friends, playing with animals, and being with his family.

John was the loving father of Jackson Collins-Safford of East Bridgewater, always companion and friend of Jackson’s mother Montana Safford, loving brother of Faith M. Collins of East Bridgewater. Loving grandson of Anna Colby, the late Dana Colby, and the late Esther and Bruce Collins. Nephew of Sandra Colby of Braintree, Michael Colby of Carver, Carol Reed of Wareham, Cody DeChambeau of Whitman and also survived by many loving cousins, loving great aunts, uncle and friends.

All are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St. East Bridgewater on Thurs. Dec. 14th for a visitation period from 5-7 pm and a celebration of life service beginning at 7pm.
