John P. “Jack” White

1948 ∼ 2018

John P. “Jack” White, 69, of North Falmouth and formerly of Attleboro, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. Born in He was born in Attleboro, the son of Kenneth and Dorothea (Riley) White. He was the former husband of Suzanne Murphy for 27 years.

He leaves his son, Scott White of Mammoth Lakes, CA, formerly of Falmouth; his daughter, Sarah White of Falmouth; his brothers, Bill, Ken, and Rick White, and his sisters, Sharon Hewitt and Sheila Carroll, and several extended family and friends.

Jack first came to Falmouth to work in the kitchen at the Coonamessett Inn.  He then went on as chef at The Dome, Lawrence’s and Liam Maguire’s restaurants before buying Hollyberry’s Restaurant in Monument Beach in 1996. He was the owner and chef until he sold the restaurant in 2016. Jack will be missed by family and friends for his terrible jokes, passion for music and his homemade clam chowder.
