John W. “Jack” Finn

John W. (Jack) Finn died peacefully at his Yarmouth Port home on July 10, with his family by his side. He was 88.

With him was his devoted wife of 54 years, Margo, and their two children, Jack of Las Vegas NV, and Nancy of Arlington, MA.

Jack was born in Boston in 1930 and grew up in Hull, MA. He served in the Navy from 1955-1957. He enjoyed a long career in the film business, retiring as Vice President of Distribution for Universal Pictures, Hollywood, in 2001 after 43 years with the company.

Jack was a talented storyteller whose great sense of humor and fun-loving personality will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was also an avid golfer with six holes-in-one to his credit, and he never met a dog he didn't like. Most of all, he was a big-hearted, funny, and generous family man whose wife and kids were his greatest joy in life.

In addition to his wife and two children, Jack is survived by his brother Larry, sister Dolores, daughter-in-law Nina, son-in-law Chris, 15 nieces and nephews, and one grandson, Brady.

Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 am at St. Pius Tenth Church, 5 Barbara Street, South Yarmouth. Internment after the Mass will take place at Woodside Cemetery, Summer St., Yarmouth Port.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Jack's memory are welcome.
