Jonathan Murray passed away at Mass General Hospital on July 14, 2020 at the age of 45 having lost his battle with alcoholism. Jon was raised and educated in East Bridgewater and graduated from East Bridgewater High School. He had been living in Hingham for the last year and a half.         

Jon loved sports, movies, and cats. He was smart, funny, and loving. He loved his family and friends, his partner Destiny, his softball buddies, but nothing could match his love for his niece and nephew Alice and Ian MacDonald, they were the lights in his life.     

Beloved son of Susan (Britton) and Richard Murray of East Bridgewater, loving brother of Jennifer MacDonald and her fiancé Dan Paul of Brockton and Erin Taylor and her husband Eric of Rochester NY; Jon also leaves behind his grandmother Susan Puffer, his Aunt Debby and Uncle Gus Gillis, his Gillis cousins, his beloved Ian and Alice, his partner Destiny O'Brien, and friends from far and wide.                                                                                                                                                               

Visiting hours with Covid-19 restrictions  will be held in the East Bridgewater Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 35 Spring Street East Bridgewater Friday, July 24th from 6-8pm.
 
A Private Funeral Mass will be held for Jon in St. John's Church East Bridgewater.
