Joseph J. Trombi
1944 ∼ 2019
Joseph J. Trombi, 74 of Brewster passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on March 19, 2019 after a courageous battle with CHF. He never quit and was a pillar of strength. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Esposito) Trombi for 48 years.
Joe had a love for people and they loved him back. He made so many lasting friendships throughout his career working at Cape Cod Ready Mix in Brewster and as a Commercial Fisherman out of Harwich Port, and some very special friends while working with his best buddy of 30 years; Walter Butler at Millstone Liquors. Joe cherished his friendships and would share three words “I love you” often.
Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to travel and lived life to the fullest. He especially loved hosting July 4th cookouts for his friends and family. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 1035 and was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved daughter Kellie Trombi of Brewster, his brother William (Ann Marie) Trombi of Harwich, several nieces & nephews and his “boys” Mike and Brian Slowik of Brewster. He was predeceased by his parents Danti and Lena (Gorczyca) Trombi, brothers Robert and David Trombi, sister Mary Seaver and nephew Thomas Trombi.
The family would like to thank the Brewster Fire and Police Departments for all the support they have given him, especially Matt Tucker and Matthew Marshall. Your friendship and love meant so much to him. A special thank you to his medical team; Dr. Singh & Dr. Dec at Mass General in Boston and Dr. Sullivan in Brewster.
As a testament to the way Joe lived his life, please perform a random act of kindness in his memory.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 27th from 4-7 pm at Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St. Harwich Center. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 11 am at Evergreen Cemetery in East Harwich.
