Josephine Amaral

Josephine (Cavallaro) Amaral, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 28th at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth, MA. The daughter of the late Salvatore and Giuseppina (Quattrocchi) Cavallaro, Josie was born and raised in Lawrence, MA before moving to Falmouth, where she resided for the past 20 years.

She is survived by her husband Manuel with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She leaves behind four daughters: Anita DeMarco from Winterhaven, FL, Joyce Seaver and her husband Wallace from Webster, MA, Carol Amaral-Ly and her husband Phuoc from Hockessin, DE, and Linda Amaral-Zettler and her husband Erik from Den Burg, Netherlands. She also leaves her Goddaughter, Joyce Ann Johnson from Bainbridge, NY, several nieces and nephews, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Josie treasured time with her family and enjoyed playing her mandolin, listening to music, and cooking.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, November 4th at Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home, 584 W Falmouth Hwy. (Route 28), WEST FALMOUTH, MA 02541 from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy., East Falmouth, MA. 02536.
