Joyce K. Antone

Joyce Karen Antone, 61, of Onset and formerly of Falmouth, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sunday August 26, 2018. She was the wife of Keith Monteiro. Born in Wareham, the daughter of the late Ruby and Angelina (Andrade) Antone.

Joyce was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She loved her sisters and brothers very much. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family. She worked as a caretaker for many years and enjoyed her work. She will be missed very much by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Heather Gonsalves of Onset, Angela Gonsalves of Onset, and Amani Antone of New Bedford; her 7 grandchildren: Kenny, Keishon, Kaylani, Carlos, Traelyn, Janaya and Joaquin; her siblings: Eileen Rose, Barbara Manzi and her husband Louis, Ruby Antone, Jr. and his wife Rita, Dorothea Gonsalves and her husband Joseph, Cathy Gonsalves and her husband Alan, Beverly Antone and her husband Ron Lees, Steven Antone and Kim Smoller, and John Antone; and many extended family and friends.  She was predeceased by her son, Frank Gonsalves Jr. and her sister Josephine Antone.

Visiting hours will be held from 1-4 PM on Friday, August 31 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, September 1 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy (Route 28) in East Falmouth.
