Joyce Zeien of Falmouth and Naples, FL died unexpectedly on August 3, 2017. She was an incredibly young 87 years old; strong, independent and full of love, life and laughter.
Joyce devoted her life to her family. She supported the amazing career of her beloved husband of 64 years, Alfred Zeien. Joyce raised and nurtured the dreams of three children; Scott, Grey and Claudia. She was best friends with Grey’s wife, Sharon, and Scott’s wife, Lisa. She delighted in sharing the lives of her five grandchildren; Christopher, Russell, Kendra, Nicole and Ryan. Joyce embraced Chris’ wife, Lynn and Rusty’s fiancée, Emily. And she found great joy in welcoming her recently-arrived great grandson, Oliver.
All were at her side at the end.
Joyce (Lawrence) was born in Woodside, New York, studied art and design at the Pratt Institute in New York, and never lost her love of painting and interior design. She was blessed with opportunities to travel the world, was a wonderful hostess who enjoyed entertaining, and filled her homes with love and good taste.
A service will be held in her memory on Monday on August 14 with visiting hours from 1-3 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM at Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth. Burial services will be private.
