Judith Marie Nickerson

Judith Marie Nickerson, 78, of Cotuit, passed in her sleep early Sunday morning on July 26, 2020. Daughter of the late Edith and Paul Wiggins and predeceased by her brother Paul Wiggins. She is survived by her sister Patricia Sanderson (Floyd), her three children: Karen Nickerson, Chris Nickerson (Mary), and Jennifer Nash (Todd), her five grandchildren: Tim Cabral (Oksana), Karla Cabral, Jake Nickerson, Olivia Leger, and Jack Leger, her great grandchild Emmett Cabral and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Judie grew up in Holbrook, MA and moved to Chatham with her family when she was 16. She loved having family gatherings especially in the summer by the pool and Thanksgiving at her home in Cotuit. She will be remembered by her many casseroles and will live on through the recipes passed down through the generations. Judie had an independent personality filled with many strong opinions. She will be remembered for her strength.

A graveside service will be held on Friday July 31, 2020 at 11AM in Mosswood Cemetery, Putnam Ave. Cotuit.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judith’s memory may be made to the Cotuit Permanent Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 512, Cotuit, MA 02635
