The family of Katherine Anne “Kaycee” Carreiro, of Falmouth and Port Richey, FL, is saddened to announce her passing suddenly in Port Richey, FL on May 21, 2020, at the age of 36 years, after a life long battle with heart disease and other health complications. She was the beloved daughter of Joanne (Carreiro) Riley of Buzzards Bay, MA, and David M. Bonito of Port Richey, FL.
Kaycee graduated from Falmouth High School and went on to Cape Cod Community College where she earned her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant, specializing in EKG, Alzheimer’s and Nursing Assistance, she also studied Criminal Justice.
She enjoyed music and family gatherings and graced everyone with her love and kindness. Her most precious moment was the birth of her son, Sheldon, he was her pride and joy. Growing up in Falmouth she played Pop Warner baseball and was a Falmouth Clippers Cheerleader. After college she pursued her career working at Atria Woodbriar and JML both of Falmouth as a CNA and Home Healthcare Aide.
Kaycee leaves behind her son Sheldon M. Estrela of East Falmouth, MA along with her siblings Michelle (Heckman) Dunkley of East Falmouth, Michael Bonito of Salem, NH, Valerie Nahn of San Francisco CA, and recently deceased, Beverly Haines of Philadelphia PA. She also leaves her niece Alyssa Speroni (her sidekick), a nephew Jason Speroni Jr.; both of Falmouth; many aunts, uncles and lots of cousins.
She was the great granddaughter of the late Frank and Amelia (Carvalho) Teixeira; the granddaughter of the late Richard and Isabel (Teixeira) Carreiro, and the late Faustine and Beatrice (Rosa) DeSouza Bonito Sr., all of Falmouth.
Kaycee will be dearly missed by all her family and friends and she will be fondly remembered by her laugh and her beautiful smile.
Her favorite saying was “Love you to the moon and back!”
Due to Covid-19 virus pandemic funeral services will be held at 11am on August 8, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy (Rt. 28), East Falmouth. A private burial with family will be at a later date.
