Kenneth D. Bennett

1929 ∼ 2019

Harwich-Kenneth D. Bennett of Harwich passed away on October 12, 2019 at the age of 90 with his family around him. He was born in Bronx, NY. He served in the US Army 1951-1956 and was a member of the American Legion at post #0310. He married the love of his life Virginia F. Piscitelli on August 25, 1962. He is survived by his wife Virginia Bennett, daughter Nancy Poppo and her husband Robert Poppo and grandchildren Douglas Weller and Karen Weller whom he adored. He was employed at the Nyack Post Office for 30 years as a window clerk and then AT&T for 5 years. He was able to retire to Cape Cod enjoying his different hobbies such as bird watching and photography of God’s creation. He was a member of Coast Guard Axillary and Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster.

Visiting hours will be held Thurs. Oct 17 from 3-6 PM at Morris O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St. Harwich Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Fri. Oct. 18 at Our Lady of Cape Church Brewster. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne.
