Kenneth R. MacKay


Kenneth R. MacKay of Raynham passed away in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, January 2, 2021 at the age of 85. Kenneth was born in Boston, son of the late Mary (MacDonald) and Daniel S. MacKay. Mr. MacKay was raised and educated in Bridgewater graduating from Bridgewater High School. Ken had been living the past 47 years in Raynham.                                   .

Ken helped run family businesses including MacKay's Seafood in Bridgewater and Mackay's Donuts in Middleboro.  He later worked as a meat cutter for many years until his retirement from Stop & Shop in Middleboro in 2001. Kenneth was a proud Korean War Air Force Veteran. 
 
Ken was a loving and devoted family man.  Some of his fondest memories were camping vacations with his family and day trips to Martha's Vineyard.  He enjoyed listening to and playing music.  He always had a positive, kind word to say and was loved by everyone who knew him.

Beloved husband of Carol A. (Dee)  MacKay of Raynham.  Loving father of Kathie MacKay of Raynham, Susan MacKay of Raynham and Beth Branco and her husband Victor of North Dighton. Brother of Mary A. Vacca of Carver, Thomas MacKay of Attleboro and the late Katherine Dumas, Warren MacKay and Daniel MacKay.  Kenneth is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral Mass and Burial for Kenneth will be private.
