Kim Marie (Gomes) Weatherwax

Kim Marie (Gomes) Weatherwax , 58, of Harwich, MA died unexpectedly in her sleep in the early hours of Monday morning, April 8, 2019 at her daughters home in Plymouth. Kim was born on December 9, 1960 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA to parents, Richard and Shirley (Galvin) Gomes of Harwich, MA. The “middle” child, Kim was one of three siblings. She will be welcomed into heaven by her deceased brother Richard “Ricky” Gomes, Jr., and forever missed by her younger sister, Sharlene Gomes (and Paul Tynan) of South Yarmouth, MA.

Kim graduated in 1978 from Harwich High School. She attended Southern Massachusetts University and Bridgewater State College.

She leaves behind her four beautiful children, Lindsay Vittori (and Mark Schedler) of Plymouth, MA., Madison (and Michael) Borey of Burlington, MA, and twins Jake and Taylor Weatherwax of Harwich, MA.

Kim’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She was the loving “Mimi” of two beautiful grandchildren, Amelia Rose and Liam Richard Vittori.

A memorial service in celebration of Kim’s life will be held at Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main Street, Harwich, MA on Thursday, April 11. Visitation hours 9 - 11 am with a celebration of life service immediately following. Internment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Family Pantry of Cape Cod., Harwich, MA.
