Lancey Alonzo Hawley

Lancey Alonzo Hawley, 62, of Garwin, IA formerly of Cape Cod and Hartford, CT, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 6, 2018. He was the beloved son of the late James Hargrove and Vivian Hawley.

Lancey was born in Richmond, VA and raised in Hartford, CT. He served in the United States Marines. He worked as a computer programmer in the military and received his CDL to drive trucks. He enjoyed electronics and building computers. He was also an avid farmer and gardener. Most of all he enjoyed his family. He was a loving father and brother and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Lancey is survived by his daughter Katya R. Hawley-Green of Centerville, his sisters, Linda Wicks of Mashpee, Felicia Woodard of Waterbury, CT, Doris Hargrove of Burlington, VT, his brothers James Hargrove of Long Beach, CA, Felix Cobbs of Hartford, CT, Carl Hargrove of Endicott, NY, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda V. Hawley.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Thursday March 15, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home on Friday March 16, 2018 at 11:30am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15pm.
