Linda Ann Warren (Sinclair) of Centerville, MA died peacefully on February 5, 2018 after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 71 years old.
Linda was born on November 11, 1946 in Laconia, NH, the third of seven children to Arthur and Alice (Constant) Sinclair. She graduated from Laconia High School in 1964. She worked several years as a bookkeeper at Gunstock Recreation Area where she met her second husband, Richard. In 1984 they were married atop Gunstock Mountain.
Upon moving to Cape Cod to join Richard, Linda helped run the family business, Four Seas Ice Cream, until their retirement in 2002 when the business was passed on to Richard’s son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Peggy Warren. Linda mentored and loved all of the high school and college students who forever became members of the Four Seas family. She enjoyed traveling and playing golf with her late husband, making Nantucket baskets and playing bridge on Wednesdays with a special group of ladies who became her closest friends. Linda was an especially caring and humble person who had an amazing way with children and enjoyed visits from all her grandkids, nieces and nephews and any baby she could get her hands on.
Linda is survived by her children, J. Michael Joyal. Jr. and his wife Kathleen Gadarowski of Dover, NH and Jennifer Dalrymple and her husband Richard of Centerville, MA; her two step-children, Janice Warren-Shriner and her husband Steve Shriner of Brattleboro VT, and Douglas Warren and his wife Peggy of Hyannis, MA. She also leaves nine beloved grandchildren, Lindsey and her husband Sam, Eliza, Paige, Joshua, Heather and her husband Steve, Evan, Hannah, Meah and Max. And, of course, her near constant companion and beloved cat, Bert. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Randall Mark Warren in 1983 and her husband, Richard Randall Warren in 2008.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday February 17th at Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville, MA. A celebration of life reception for all of Linda’s family and friends will then follow at Cummaquid Golf Club from 11:30 a.m until 2:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend, share memories and celebrate Linda’s life.
