Linda S. Marco

Linda S. Marco, our beloved mother, 69, of East Falmouth MA, formerly of Liverpool NY, passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2018.  She was predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Ruth Marco of East Falmouth, MA and her dearly missed daughter Amy S. Gavlick of Liverpool, NY.

Our mom, worked as a nursing supervisor at SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse, NY for 32 years before retiring to Cape Cod.  She was currently employed at TJ Maxx and Acapesket Beach Association where she was a private beach attendant.

While enjoying her retirement on the Cape, mom was able to reignite her passions for painting, crafting and gardening as well as her love of music by playing the cello.  She loved spending time walking the local beaches for seaglass and any other treasures the ocean would bring her. Her favorite thing to do in retirement though, was spend time with her family at “Nana’s Beach House.”

She was a loving, devoted mother of three children who supported all of our hopes and dreams and was always our biggest cheerleader.  No matter how big or small, silly, or dangerous she always said “ok, go for it.”

Linda is survived by Peter Kowaleski, her partner of 23 years, as well as her daughter Melissa Moore (Charles), son, Nathaniel Bentley (Sarah), and four grandsons, Charlie, Anthony, Braden, and Dominic.  She also leaves behind four wonderful kitties, Sprinkles, Tigger, Mona and Snowball.

A memorial service celebrating our mom’s life will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Christ The King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY 13090. A small prayer service will follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the SPCA of Central NY, 5878 East Molloy Rd Syracuse, NY 13211.
