Lorraine M. McCulloch

Lorraine M. McCulloch passed away peacefully at Falmouth Hospital on Valentine’s Day surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 9, 1919 in Boston and grew up in Needham. She married the love of her life, Kenneth J. McCulloch and they were married for 54 years until his death.  Together they had three children, Wayne McCulloch (Jill), Karen Hart (Russell) and Meredith, who passed away in 1962.  She is survived by her children, five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Laurie, Darren, Scott and Joy.  She was loved by her eleven great grandchildren, Max, Jamie, Sam, Quinn, Meredith, Sebastian, Jacob, Lily, Bella, Isla and Shelby.

Lorraine was a medical secretary and worked until 1971 when she and her husband retired and moved to Pocasset on Cape Cod.  They wintered in Homestead, FL and moved to Naples after Hurricane Andrew destroyed their Homestead home.  She moved into Cape Cod Senior Residences in Pocasset in September, 2017 where she loved the environment and wonderful care.

Lorraine loved life, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved singing, reading and knitting.  She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and cheered passionately for Mookie, Benny, Brady and Gronk.

The family would like to thank the staff at Falmouth Hospital for their loving care and hospice compassion on her journey to heaven.  There will be no services; but a Celebration of Life will be held on Patuisset Island in Pocasset in August, which would have been her 100th birthday.

Donations in her memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor Brookline, MA 02445-7226Boston, MA.
