Louise M. Chiappini

Louise M.. Chiappini (Costa), a lifelong resident of Bridgewater died October 31, 2019 at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 91.
Louise was born in Taunton, daughter of the late Anna (DeMoura) and Manuel Costa and was a life long Bridgewater resident graduating from Bridgewater Academy. Mrs. Chiappini took care of children in her home for many years, worked at the Independent Nail Co. in the Payroll Office and was a maintainer at Bridgewater State College for 20 years. Louise loved to bowl, dance and enjoyed going to the beach, antique shops and yard sales. She had many fond memories of camping with her family for 15 years around New England and Canada. She was a great cook who made her own pasta ( tortellini, ravioli's were among her specialities), as well as homemade soups and desserts. She was devoted to her family and always made birthdays and holidays extra special. She was an active member of the South Shore Community Church for almost 20 years where she helped in the Children's Ministry and was a Greeter. She was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Cowgirls and always baked a dessert to share. She was a loving, generous and strong woman who was an encouragement to others and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Wife of the late Francis J. Chiappini. Mother of Deborah A.(Chiappini) Drago of Bridgewater and the late David W. and Daniel P. Chiappini. Grandmother of Melissa L. (Drago) Eastman of Rockland. Great grandmother of Zoey Eastman. Sister of Henry Costa and the late George, Ronald and Donald Costa. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater Tuesday November 5th at 10:00am.
Visiting hours Monday, November 4th from 4-6pm.
Burial will follow the Service in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
