Lucas (Luke) E. Ivaldi, 27, of Bridgewater died peacefully on Nov. 4, 2018 after a yearlong, courageous battle with a complex form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Luke was a graduate of BR High School, Class of ’09 where he lettered in track and was a proud Eagle Scout. Luke continued his education at UMass Amherst where freshman year he met his future lifelong love Christina Marchetti whom he has lived with for the past three years. Luke was gifted with numbers and would become a CPA and work for Deloitte, which allowed him to travel the globe auditing various companies.

Despite the many medical setbacks, poor prognosis and eventual outcome, he never lost his positive outlook. His mantra “never stop learning” was an inspiration to his family, and even in the last few weeks before his passing, Luke explored his newfound interest in leatherworking. Prior to this, Luke found great joy in mountain biking, woodworking, hiking, snowboarding and riding his Harley. He also attended many music festivals where he shared in the groove with Phans and Dead Heads alike.

Lucas was the loving son of Edward and Paula (Cain) Ivaldi of Bridgewater and formerly of Stoughton, and was the older brother of Kristin J. Ivaldi, Benjamin C. Ivaldi, Nicole C. Ivaldi, as well as French sister Elisa Chaussenot. Luke was survived by many loving relatives and friends, who are all cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Wed. Nov. 7th for visitation from 4-8pm. A celebration of life and adventure will be held on Thurs. Nov. 8th at the South Shore Community Church, 191 Torrey St. Brockton at 10am.
