Lynda E. Burr

1943 ∼ 2018

Lynda E. Burr (Bendinelli), 75, of Mashpee, MA, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018 at Falmouth Hospital surrounded by her family. Lynda is survived by her beloved husband, Paul W. Burr, Jr., whom she met, married, and shared 53 wonderful years with.

Originally from Quincy, MA, Lynda graduated from North Quincy High School, Class of 1961. As a young lady, Lynda met and made lifelong friends through her association with the Order of Rainbow for Girls, and remained a proud, active member of Eastern Star. Lynda will forever be remembered for her contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. A kind-hearted and loving matriarch, Lynda always made time for her beloved children and grandchildren. She will be eternally celebrated as the fiercely loyal wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend we have always known her to be.

In addition to her husband, Lynda is survived by her children, Scott Burr and wife Maureen of Danvers, MA, Eric Burr and longtime girlfriend RuthAnne Burke of Sandwich, MA, and Jodi (Burr) Johnson of Mashpee, MA; siblings Pamela Seffel of Chandler, OK, Bruce Bendinelli of Owasso, OK, Carolyn Pritzker of Stoughton, MA, and Leslie Farrell of Bristol, NH; and grandchildren Brandon Burr, Kevin Burr, and Megan Burr, all of Sandwich, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Lynda was predeceased by her grandson Zachary Johnson.

A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Thursday, December 6 at 2:00 PM. A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lynda’s memory to your local Boys and Girls Club.
